West Dorset & The Jurassic Coast

We are located close to several well-known Dorset Towns.

Ideally located in West Dorset, Knapp Farmhouse is close to the vibrant town of Bridport to the south – its West Bay used as a location for the successful TV series, “Broadchurch”. Visit its busy Saturday street market, independent shops, Arts Centre, Museum or St. Michael’s arts and antiques traders’ quarter. Home to its well regarded Literary and Arts Festival and quirky Hat Festival – the only one in the country.

Beaminster to the north-west with its charming square surrounded by quality food traders, gift shops, tea rooms and galleries and venue for a lively arts and music festival in the Spring.

Dorchester, the County town, lies east over Eggardon on the Roman road from Powerstock with a number of intriguing museums which are well worth a visit. The town looks to the Iron Age hill fort of Maiden Castle.

Lyme Regis to the West, beyond the fossil hunting haunt of Charmouth, its famous Cobb, galleries, restaurants and beach.
